Its Beginning to Look a Lot...

...Christmas!!! Here is the pic that I shot for our Christmas card this year! It was not the first choice, but my other plan was too over the top to execute this year, but this was pretty fun...though I had to set the camera to a timer and then had to run to get into the photo and wrap the garland around me and pose...in 20 seconds! I hope everyone is having a great Christmas holiday so far...Mini-Uzz and Uzz wish you a Very Merry Christmas!!!

My All-Wonderful niece came to see me this past weekend and I took her good-lookin' kiddos into the studio and shot some pics for her...here are a few:
The one great thing about these kids is that they are full of expressions! Here are three of them...look at those smiles!!!

This is her eldest son and I must say that this boy has the look down already!! He could probably do modeling if she wanted to!

Speed Racer Trailer!!!!!!!!

Awesome!!! All I can say is...AWESOME!!! Along with the late Evel Knievel, Speed Racer was one of the heroes of my youth and the fact a live action version is coming out next year, has me on cloud nine! Here are some pics that have been released...
Look at those graphics!!! It appears they are taking a highly anime-influenced approach to the film and that makes perfect sense!

Ah yeah!!! Look at that Mach 5!!! If I ever get rich, I am going to have one of these built for me...and I will drive it all over town!

Emma Pollock opened the show for Spoon and The New Pornographers when I went to see them a month or so ago. While I was instantly in love with her beauty, I was also pleasantly surprised by her set. If you like Juliana Hatfield or Patti Rothberg, you might want to check her out:-)

From the newest effort from Interpol, we get the haunting and cinematic morsel that is "Pioneer to the Falls". Interpol is pretty underrated in my opinion.

Goin' To Acapulco
Jim James & Calexico: I'm Not There - Original Soundtrack
This song is featured in the Bob Dylan biopic, "I'm Not There" and is one of the highlights in the film. I drove to Dallas last week and saw the movie and was pretty much blown away...especially by the performance of Cate Blanchett. This song is all about irony with its lyrics that talk about having fun, set to an almost mournful dirge...Jim James is the singer-songwriter who fronts the incredible band, My Morning Jacket.

This is actually an older song from one of top 3 favorite bands of the moment. I got the chance to see them last month (with Spoon) and this is the song they ended the show with...all I can say is that they BLEW me away! During the second half of the song, some of you may remember this song when it was used in a University of Phoenix commercial.
